Community and Individual Social Support
Tailored for seniors navigating challenges like health issues, age, or language barriers, social support provides an opportunity for individuals to connect, socialise and cultivate friendships.
Assistance is provided by companions either at home or while accessing community services. The primary focus is on fulfilling the person's need for social contact and accompaniment, promoting community participation and alleviating feelings of isolation.
Our support services, delivered by trained volunteers, encompass home visits, companionship, light housework and other services tailored through coordination with case workers and volunteers.
Enhance your emotional, spiritual and physical well-being through meaningful connections by joining a Multicultural Social Support Group. Each group is led by a trained worker fluent in the language of the group, serving as a crucial link between participants and the service.
Our dedicated workers also assist in breaking down barriers faced by senior individuals from non-English speaking backgrounds.
Social Groups include:
Recognising the uniqueness of each individual, our programs are tailored to meet specific needs, offering opportunities for social interaction, mental stimulation and physical activity in a secure environment. Monthly outings to different locations, determined by the group.
Enjoy complimentary transportation for outings, with additional pick-up and drop-off options available according to the CHSP schedule of fees. Places are limited for all groups and bookings are essential.
