Role Overview

As the Staff & Operations Manager, you’ll work closely with the People & Culture Manager and Aged Care Manager to lead people operations across our aged care programs.

You’ll oversee rostering, onboarding, and workforce planning, while also driving staff wellbeing, performance support and day-to-day operational excellence.

This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll build strong relationships with support workers, volunteers, team leaders, and internal stakeholders, creating the conditions for safe, high-quality and person-centred care delivery.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience leading people, workforce or operations functions (aged care/community services preferred)
• Strong background in rostering, recruitment and workforce planning
• Practical understanding of the SCHADS Award, WHS and HR practices
• Collaborative, solution-focused leadership style
• Ability to balance operational needs with staff wellbeing
• Passion for supporting teams to thrive and deliver quality care
• Tertiary qualifications in Aged Care, Management, HR or related fields (desirable but not essential)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate support workers and volunteers
• Oversee rostering, scheduling and continuity of care
• Manage onboarding and induction for frontline staff
• Support the workforce team through coaching and guidance
• Promote staff wellbeing, early intervention and return-to-work
• Ensure compliance with policies, awards and safety frameworks
• Use data insights to drive workforce efficiency and engagement
