Thy Cao

Thy Cao is a values-led leader with over 20 years of experience in health, ageing, and human services. An experienced physiotherapist by background, she brings a deep understanding of physical and mental health and a strong commitment to whole-person care.

Thy has held senior roles in public and private sectors, including consulting, community health, and national not-for-profits, contributing to stronger systems, safer workplaces, and more equitable outcomes for people from all walks of life.

She is highly regarded for her clinical governance, organisational wellbeing, and psychosocial safety expertise and has a strong track record in board governance, risk, and strategy. Thy has led complex reform initiatives and worked closely with executives, clinicians, and community leaders to create environments where people and systems can thrive.

As the proud daughter of Vietnamese migrants, Thy is deeply committed to equity, access, and inclusion—values that align closely with Focus Connect’s mission.

Caroline MacPhail

Caroline is an executive director with over 20 years experience in leadership and executive board roles. With a background in general management, Caroline has experience guiding cross-functional teams, managing finances, shaping strategic development and nurturing positive team culture.

Caroline is passionate about diversity, fostering inclusion and actively supporting the local community.

Ben Burdon

Ben is an experienced public policy and community sector leader with more than 25 years of executive experience working across government and community services.

He brings extensive expertise in governance, strategy, financial stewardship, risk oversight, and service system reform. Ben has led large-scale programs and funding portfolios, including national grants programs, community sector partnerships, and the design and delivery of services supporting individuals, families, and communities across Australia.

Ben has a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing community organisations, particularly in relation to funding model reform, service delivery, and organisational performance. He is passionate about ensuring services are responsive, inclusive, and focused on delivering meaningful outcomes for the people and communities they serve.

Sangram Bhosale

Sangram is a seasoned corporate governance and risk specialist with over 25 years of leadership experience across the regulated banking, finance, and insurance sectors in Australia and New Zealand. Recognised for balancing commercial pragmatism with rigorous risk oversight, he brings a deep understanding of systemic resilience, capital protection, and sustainable organisational growth to the boardroom.

Throughout his executive career, Sangram has served as a trusted advisor to boards and executive committees, offering specialised expertise in steering organisations through complex regulatory shifts and strengthening risk management practices.

An expert in organisational culture and risk transformation, Sangram champions the alignment of risk appetite with long-term strategy. He is uniquely qualified to add immediate value to Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committees facing heightened regulatory scrutiny, with the ability to constructively challenge executive teams and cultivate a proactive risk culture that safeguards corporate reputation.

Priti Asher

Priti is an experienced executive leader with deep expertise in technology, data, and AI governance across financial services, insurance, and other regulated environments.

Her background includes leading large-scale data and technology initiatives, enhancing governance structures, and strengthening risk management practices. She has a strong track record in cyber security, privacy, regulatory compliance, and enterprise transformation.

Priti is deeply committed to leveraging technology and responsible innovation to create meaningful, positive outcomes for individuals, families, and communities. She is dedicated to supporting FOCUS Connect's mission to build stronger communities through inclusive, safe, and high-quality services.
