Neither did anyone else, when they first walked in. Our groups are friendly and welcoming, and our team will introduce you and help you settle in.
What if I don't like it?
That's completely okay. There's no pressure or obligation - come along, see how you feel, and it's entirely up to you whether you keep going.
I'm not sure what I'd enjoy.
That's what our friendly team is here for — tell us a bit about yourself, and we'll help you find a group that's the right fit.
I'm worried about the cost.
Many seniors are eligible for CHSP or Support at Home funding, which can significantly reduce costs. You can also self-fund. Our team can talk you through current pricing so there are no surprises. We'll help you understand what applies to you.

Understanding the Cost
Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)
CHSP Social Support Group funding helps eligible older people remain socially connected and active within their community. Contributions are outlined in our Social Groups Calendar. Some outings and special events may incur additional ticket or meal costs..
Support at Home
If you're a Support at Home participant, you may be able to access Social Groups in accordance with your Service Agreement.
Self-Funded Attendance
Prefer to pay privately? Self-funded attendance is also available if you don't have government funding in place. Contact our friendly team for current pricing.
Already Receiving Support From Another Provider?
You can still choose to join a FOCUS Connect Senior Social Group. If you're already supported by another provider, our friendly team can explain your options and help you get involved.
Introductory offer: $5.00 client contribution for the first two sessions of a Weekly Community, Interest & Hobby Group or Social Shopping Trip, for eligible CHSP-funded clients joining in August or September 2026. Existing FOCUS Connect Social Group members may also access the offer, provided they continue attending their existing Social Group. Includes the centre-based Multicultural Group only. Excludes all Multicultural Group outings.
