Unleash your creativity in a relaxed and friendly setting. Explore a variety of arts and crafts, including painting, drawing, card making, knitting, seasonal projects and more. No experience is needed, just bring your imagination and enjoy creating alongside others.

Weekly Community, Interest & Hobby Groups
Our Community, Interest and Hobby Groups are perfect for seniors who enjoy regular activities in a friendly and welcoming environment. Activities are designed to encourage creativity, learning, wellbeing and social connection while having fun together.

Multicultural Group
A relaxed and friendly group for anyone looking to build new friendships and stay connected to their community. Enjoy conversation, shared activities and a warm, welcoming space to simply spend time with others.

Cook & Connect Group

Each group provides opportunities to build friendships, learn new skills and enjoy shared experiences with others who have similar interests.

Join any new Weekly Community, Interest & Hobby Group during August or September and pay only a $5.00 client contribution for eligible CHSP-funded clients.

Weekly Cultural & Language Groups
FOCUS Connect proudly offers Cultural and Language Groups where seniors can connect with others who share their language, traditions and cultural heritage.
Our experienced team understands the importance of remaining connected to culture and provides welcoming environments where participants feel comfortable, supported and understood.
Each group enjoys centre-based activities, shared meals, cultural celebrations, information sessions and regular community outings selected by participants.

Social Shopping Trips
Get out, get your shopping done, and enjoy the company along the way.
Our regular Social Shopping Trips visit local shopping centres across South West Sydney, giving you a relaxed, easy way to run errands, browse the shops, and pick up what you need — without having to organise transport or go it alone.
It's also a great chance to catch up with others, enjoy a coffee, and make a day of it.
A typical shopping trip includes:

A relaxed coffee or catch-up with the group
New locations visited regularly, so there's always something different to explore

Need help getting there?
Transport may be available to help eligible participants attend FOCUS Connect Social Groups, shopping groups, social outings and special events.
Our team can also discuss transport to and from nominated pick-up locations where available.
If transport is important to you, simply let us know when making your booking and we'll discuss the options available.
Ways to Access Our Senior Social Groups
There are several ways to join a FOCUS Connect Senior Social Group, depending on your circumstances and funding arrangements.
Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)
CHSP Social Support Group funding helps eligible older people remain socially connected and active within their community.
Client contributions are outlined in our Social Groups Calendar. Some outings and special events may incur additional ticket or meal costs.
Support at Home
Support at Home participants may access Social Groups in accordance with their Support at Home Service Agreement.
Self-Funded Attendance
Prefer to pay privately?
You're welcome to join our Senior Social Groups as a self-funded participant.
Our team can provide current pricing and help you find the right group.
Brokered Support Arrangements
Brokered support arrangements are also available.

Our Social Groups are designed for seniors who would like to stay active, connected and engaged within their local community.
Do I need a My Aged Care referral?
Not always.
Depending on how you would like to access our Social Groups, we can explain the funding options available and help you understand your eligibility.
Is transport available?
Transport may be available for eligible participants attending Social Groups, shopping groups and special outings.

Can I attend if I pay privately?
Yes.
